Our Commitment to Accessibility

The Tia Hinton Agency™, operated by Tia Hinton LLC, is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to our platform. We believe that everyone — regardless of ability — deserves equal access to wellness resources, career tools, and opportunities.

 

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

 

The Tia Hinton Agency™ is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address the remaining gaps described in the Known Limitations section below.

 

Measures Taken to Support Accessibility

The Tia Hinton Agency™ takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

• Use component libraries (Shadcn UI / Radix UI) that are built with accessibility in mind, including ARIA attributes and keyboard interaction patterns.

• Conduct internal reviews against WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria.

• Provide a mechanism for users to report accessibility barriers (see Feedback section below).

 

Technical Specifications

Accessibility of The Tia Hinton Agency™ relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

• HTML5

• CSS3 (including Tailwind CSS)

• JavaScript / TypeScript (React)

• WAI-ARIA 1.2

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

 

Accessibility Features

The following accessibility features are currently implemented on The Tia Hinton Agency™:

• Skip navigation: A "Skip to main content" link is available at the top of every page for keyboard users.

• Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements including navigation menus, forms, dropdowns, and chat interfaces are operable via keyboard.

• Screen reader support: Pages use semantic HTML landmarks (main, nav, header, footer, section) and ARIA labels to communicate structure and purpose to assistive technologies.

• Language declaration: The page language is declared as English (lang="en") to support screen reader pronunciation.

• Alternative text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technologies.

• Form labels: All form inputs are associated with visible labels using standard HTML labeling techniques.

• Live region announcements: Dynamic content in AI chat interfaces uses ARIA live regions so screen readers announce new messages as they appear.

• Reduced motion: Background videos and animations respect the user's operating system preference for reduced motion.

• Text resizing: Users can zoom and resize text up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

• Dark and light mode: A theme toggle is available to all users to select their preferred color scheme.

• Focus visibility: Keyboard focus indicators are visible on all interactive elements.

 

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of The Tia Hinton Agency™, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

1. Color contrast — formal audit pending

While our design uses semantic color tokens designed for readability, a formal automated and manual color contrast audit against the WCAG 2.1 AA 4.5:1 ratio requirement has not yet been completed across all pages and components. We are in the process of conducting this audit.

2. Third-party content

Some content on this platform is provided by or links to third parties (such as social media platforms and external job listings). We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party websites or services.

 

Assessment Approach

The Tia Hinton Agency™ assessed the accessibility of this website by the following approaches:

• Self-evaluation against WCAG 2.1 Level A and Level AA success criteria.

• Manual testing with keyboard-only navigation.

• Review of ARIA implementation and semantic HTML structure.

• Code-level review of interactive components and dynamic content.
